It is not in the nature,
of Nature-
To ebb away at its own life force.
It sustains just as well,
with a profound grace and inexplicable ease,
all on its own throughout eternity.
Independently and unbound,
unlike us mortals,
Bound and chained by the shackles-
of something far more enormous than ourselves.
And in our puny efforts at being free,
we lose track and wither away,
and return to Nature.
